A bit about me... your travel guide, Denise Wakeman
My motto is "Just say yes!" After a life-changing trek in the Peruvian Andes, I embraced my inner Adventurer and ditched the black business suits for a knapsack and hiking boots.
With map in hand, curiosity drives me to explore and challenge myself and others to embrace the new: a mountain to conquer or seeking out new cities, countries or restaurants. I dig deep, am fully engaged, committed and eager to share what I learn.
Whether it’s consulting or hanging out with a glass of wine at happy hour, I am down to earth and shun hype. But don’t mistake my laid-back demeanor for lack of passion. If you ask me about Peru, travel, or any of my myriad causes, I get quite animated!
Fiercely loyal, I am passionate about empowering others to experiment and let go of the little fears that are limiting growth, so they can say "yes" to the bigger adventures and recognize new opportunities, too.
I started traveling when I was a child. My parents took us on adventures all over the United States and then 3 months camping in Europe when I was 13. That gave me the travel bug.
Since then I have lived in two countries outside the U.S. and have traveled to more than 30 countries. Trekking in small groups is one of my favorite ways to discover new cultures, food, and friends.
Working as a travel agent and consultant is a natural fit for me and I can't wait to assist you with your globetrotting adventures and exploring the world.
I'm here to help you plan your trip. Whatever the reason you’re traveling, I’ve got you covered. Even if you only need to book a hotel because you’re heading to your family reunion in Lima, and you refuse to sleep in your Great Aunt’s guest room because it smells like mothballs.
Go ahead and poke around, find what you need and then contact me.
